Training Hub

COMING
MARCH 2026

Most drone training stops at the exam. Ours starts there.

We've spent years developing protocols for Arctic deployments, marine mammal monitoring, industrial inspections, and complex BVLOS operations. The Training Hub is where we share what we've learned - the practical knowledge that turns certified pilots into professional operators.

Free Resources

The Hub offers free guides, checklists, and study materials covering everything from Advanced exam prep to SOP development, emergency procedures, and safety management systems. This is the material we wish existed when we started - written by operators who do this work every day.

Level 1 Complex Certification

20 Hour Ground School

We believe the best ground schools blend classroom learning with real, hands-on field time. Our 20-hour program is built around that philosophy. Instead of sitting through endless lectures, you’ll spend time in class and time actively operating in the field. Our course takes longer than others, and you'll be more prepared because of it.

We take the Transport Canada knowledge requirements and apply them directly to real scenarios, flying missions, running procedures, and working through simulated operations across different environments and envelopes. With our experience developing protocols for marine work, SAR operations, industrial projects, and complex missions, we give you practice opportunities that reflect the realities of professional drone work.

We cover:

  • Full Transport Canada knowledge requirements

  • RPAS maintenance and airworthiness basics

  • Protocol and SOP theory + hands-on development

  • Flight practice and mission execution

  • Emergency procedures: theory, development, and field drills

  • Practical flight planning and scenario-based exercises

Custom Courses

Most drone training ends at the certificate. You're legal to fly, but you're on your own to figure out how to actually do the work. We build training that bridges that gap, context-specific courses that prepare operators to work in specific environments with the protocols and documentation they need to do the job right.

Aeria Solutions is a Transport Canada Level 1 Complex ground school. We can deliver standard licensing courses, but the work we're more interested in is what comes after: custom training programs built around your operational context.

What We Deliver:

  • Context-specific curriculum - Training built for your use case, whether that's marine mammal monitoring, industrial inspections in COR environments, environmental surveys, or other specialized applications

  • Complete operational frameworks - Not just training materials, but the SOPs, risk assessment protocols, emergency procedures, and documentation templates your operators need in the field

  • Scenario-based learning - Real-world exercises that build operational judgment, not just regulatory compliance

  • Materials transfer - All course content, templates, and frameworks transfer to you. Train your own instructors or have us deliver it.

Who This Is For:

Organizations scaling drone programs that need operators working to a common standard, teams entering new operational domains, or anyone working in regulated environments where compliance depends on systematic protocols.

How It Works:

We start by understanding what your operators actually need to do, not just what they need to know. Then we build backwards: what competencies do they need? What protocols keep them safe and compliant? What documentation gives you operational visibility? From there, we develop the complete training package.

Our goal is simple: to build operators who don’t just pass tests, but excel in real-world operations.
